Conócela has no user accounts, mailing list, contact forms or advertising. We don't ask for your personal data. The only measurement tool is Google Analytics 4, and it only runs if you accept it (details below).

What data we process, why and on what legal basis

Visit measurement

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to see which pages are visited, from which countries and on which devices, so we can improve the guides. It works with cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) and sends technical visit data to Google, such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device. Google acts as our processor, handling the data on our behalf, and processing may take place on servers outside the European Economic Area. Until you accept, or if you reject, the site doesn't load Google Analytics, sends no data to Google and sets no analytics cookies. We don't enable advertising features or show personalised advertising.

How long we keep data

In Google Analytics 4, data linked to cookies and identifiers is kept for 14 months (the period restarts if you visit again) and the event-level detail used by custom explorations for 2 months. Aggregated reports don't identify anyone. Emails are kept for as long as they are needed to answer your enquiry. Technical hosting logs are kept under that provider's policy.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to contato@conocela.com. You can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. If you believe your data has not been processed in line with the rules, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es).

Activity images

On pages with activities, the photos on each card are loaded directly from Civitatis servers (f.civitatis.com). This is a request to a third party: when it displays them, Civitatis receives your IP address and technical browser data, under its own privacy policy. Conócela does not receive that data.

What's stored in your browser

Your comparison selection and your preparation and packing lists are kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so you can pick them up on your next visit. We don't send them to any server. You can clear them from each tool or by deleting the site's data. Route and list downloads are generated on your device.

Planner and calculator

Calculations happen in your browser. We don't store your planner answers or the amounts you enter.

External links

If you open a booking, map or tourism website, that provider's terms and policies apply. Affiliate links include a campaign identifier, without any of your personal data.

If you write to us

If you email contato@conocela.com we receive your address and your message, and we use them only to reply. There is no form: email is the only way to contact us.

Web hosting

Like any website, the service that hosts it receives your IP address and technical request data in order to deliver the pages. Conócela doesn't use that data to identify you.
