Asturias works for a two- to four-day getaway with sea, villages and green hills, all within short distances. Llanes and Cudillero make good bases for exploring the coast on foot, with a harbour, a beach or a clifftop for each day.
Two bases, two ways to explore the coast: Cudillero for the west and Llanes for the east. They aren't two neighbourhoods of the same trip. In two or three days, pick one area and save the rest for next time.

Town, harbour, the Paseo de San Pedro clifftop walk and beaches. A third day lets you add the surroundings without packing the day too tight.
Have an indoor plan ready, check each beach's rules and leave room for the weather. Tides and swell are part of the trip.

Where green meets the sea.
Two or three days let you see one stretch of coast properly. Rather than splitting the trip across lots of villages, pick one base, such as Llanes in the east or Cudillero in the west, and explore from there.
May to October. In summer, highs on the coast are around 22-24 °C and it rains on about 7 days a month, compared with about 12 in winter. Pack a waterproof whatever the season, because the weather can change within the same day.
Not for the villages: once you're there, Llanes and Cudillero are easy to explore on foot. For beaches, viewpoints and rural houses, yes, because public transport barely reaches the beaches and coastal paths. Llanes is 108 km from Oviedo and Cudillero 63 km.
